Benjamín Robles Montoya, a senator from Mexico’s Party of the Democratic Revolution (PRD) and president of the Senate’s South-Southeast Commission, this week became the latest official to speak out against authorizing the use of hydraulic fracturing, or “fracking,” to extract petroleum and natural gas.
