ASTANA, Kazakhstan

Toleutay Rakhimbekov, head of Kazakhstan’s National Chamber for the Housing and Utilities Sector, has warned Kazakh citizens against purchasing water meters made in Western Europe, saying these devices often break down because of the country’s poor water quality.
