Farmers in India’s Cauvery River delta have vowed to step up their protests against Karnataka state’s plans to build two new reservoirs on the river at Mekedatu, saying the reservoirs will affect their livelihoods.“Under the guise of hydroelectric project, Karnataka might divert even the meager flow down the river.
