OOSKAnews is proud to announce our new YouTube channel featuring the “aquaNOW Audience” seminars.
The first of the six aquaNOW Audiences, which are produced by OOSKAnews with supporters Scottish Enterprise, Highlands and Islands Enterprise, the Scottish Government and aquaNOW.info, premiered in October 2014 and was hosted at the Scottish Association for Marine Science in Oban, Scotland. The aquaNOW Audiences engage international thought leaders with different, disparate perspectives on water (science and technology, policy and governance, corporate risk and opportunity.)
The inaugural event, with the theme of “Competition for Water Resources,” featured panelists including Renee Martin-Nagle, Visiting Scholar, Environmental Law Institute, Washington DC; Dr. Paul Tett, Reader in Coastal Systems, Scottish Association for Marine Science; Juan-Carlos Sanchez Ramirez, Scotland-Hydro Nation Program Scholar, the UNESCO Center for Water Law at the University of Dundee, Scotland; Dr. John Matthews, Executive Director of the Alliance for Global Water Adaptation; and Kevin Jeffrey, Owner, Wastewater Wizard.
The second aquaNOW Audience was conducted in November 2014 and was hosted by the Edinburgh Centre for Carbon Innovation, in association with the UK Business Council for Sustainable Development, and had the theme, “Water: Business Risk and Opportunity.”
The event showcased a diverse selection of panelists with various water backgrounds. This included William Sarni, Director and Practice Leader, Enterprise Water Strategy, Deloitte Consulting LLP; Galen Fulford, Managing Director, Biomatrix Water; M. Nazli Koseoglu, Scotland-Hydro Nation Program Scholar, the School of Geoscience of the University of Edinburgh and Scotland’s Agricultural College; Alan Hendry, Director of Sustainability, Jacobs Engineering and Chair, UK Business Council for Sustainable Development in Scotland; Nicholas Simpson, Sales and Marketing Director, Ondeo Industrial Solutions and Chair, UK BCSD Water Focus Group; Joppe Cramwinckel, Director for Water, World Business Council for Sustainable Development; and Jim Panton, CEO, Panton McLeod Ltd.
David Duncan, Publisher and CEO of OOSKAnews, who moderates the aquaNOW Audiences, said “We are very pleased to announce this addition to our existing water-related communication channels. Also, Happy Thanksgiving to our American readers!”
