Over 180 cities and communities in 35 countries have taken back control of their privatized water services over the past 15 years, according to a new report from international think tank the Transnational Institute (TNI) of Policy Studies, Public Services International Research Unit (PSRU), which researches the privatization and restructuring of public services around the world, and the Multinational Observatory, which tracks activities of French corporations worldwide.
