If immediate action is not taken to reduce carbon emissions and arrest climate change, there will be “severe, pervasive and irreversible impacts for people and ecosystems,” according to the United Nations Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC).In the latest Synthesis Report, published in Copenhagen on November 2nd, the IPCC warned that climate change’s effects are already being observed on all continents and oceans.
