SIMFEROPOL, Crimea

The quantity and quality of groundwater reserves in northern and northeastern Crimea has been confirmed, and freshwater from new boreholes in the region can now be sent to the North Crimean Canal to supply the eastern part of the peninsula, Crimean Environmental Minister Gennady Naraev said earlier this week.
