Kyiv Allocates Funds to Restore Water Mains in Eastern Ukraine

The Ukrainian government is providing some $6 million USD through the national budget to repair damaged water mains in Ukrainian-controlled areas of Donetsk province, provincial authorities said this week.A portion of the funding will also be used to repair houses damaged during military action.Donetsk officials said water mains in Sloviansk and Dymytrov would be reconstructed. Both cities are under Kyiv’s control.  Regional water utility Voda Donbassa said this week that it is continuing repair work on facilities damaged by weapons fire.On February 17th, the utility found 11 new damaged areas on a 2,100-millimeter-diameter water main on the Seversky Donets-Donbass Canal...
