IADB Lends Argentina $200 Million to Improve Conditions in Informal Settlements

Argentina will receive a $200 million USD loan from the Inter-American Development Bank to fund a programme to improve living conditions for families dwelling in irregular settlements, such as shanty towns and campsites.The work is part of the Neighborhood Upgrading Program, which has been designed to legalise land ownership, provide basic infrastructure and support community development, thereby helping some 250,000 families.
