In the worst case scenario, the world could face catastrophic food shortages and political instability due to the effects of climate change and water scarcity, according to a new report from UK-based specialist insurance market Lloyd’s.The report, “Food System Shock,” is based on new scientific models being developed at Anglia Ruskin University’s Global Sustainability Institute (GSI), through a project called the “Global Resource Observatory” (GRO).
