International Community Urged to Address Humanitarian Crisis Caused by El Niño

The United Nations’ top humanitarian relief official has called on the international community to act quickly to meet the urgent humanitarian needs of 60 million people worldwide affected by droughts, floods and other extreme weather events triggered by the El Niño phenomenon, and to help them build resilience to future shocks.“I am here to sound the alarm.
