Venezuela May Be Forced to Reduce Power Generation as Dam Water Levels Drop: Official

CARACAS, Venezuela

Venezuela will reduce power generation if water levels in the Simon Bolivar Dam (also known as the Guri Dam), the country's largest and the source of about half of its hydropower, fall below the minimum level of 240 meters, according to Miguel Angel Romero, the head of generation at state-run power company Corpoelec.
