Namibian Mining Company Pushes for Desalination Plant

WINDHOEK, Namibia

Namibia’s leading mining company, Rössing Uranium, a subsidiary of British-Australian Rio Tinto Group, said last week that it remains committed to constructing a desalination plant in the water-scarce country, and has again appealed to the government to grant environmental clearance for the project.
