Leo Heileman, the United Nations Environment Program’s (UNEP) new head for Latin America, is standing by his agency’s conclusions about the environmental impacts of last September's cyanide spill at Barrick Gold’s Veladero gold and silver mine pollution in Argentina’s San Juan province.
