Brazilian Federal Police Say Samarco Skimped on Safety Measures at Mine

Brazilian Federal Police this week released the results of their seven-month-long investigation into the November 5th tailings dam burst at an iron ore mine in Minas Gerais state, which killed 19 people and flooded surrounding areas with tens of millions of cubic meters of wastewater and sludge that subsequently flowed into the Doce River and down to the Atlantic Ocean.
