A judge this week dismissed the $5.7 billion USD civil lawsuit against mining company Samarco’s owners, Vale SA and BHP Billiton, for the November 5, 2015 tailings dam burst at Samarco's iron ore mine in Brazil’s Minas Gerais state, Vale reported.
