BISHKEK, Kyrgyzstan

The Kyrgyz government has ordered state agencies to take steps to ensure uninterrupted operations at the Kumtor gold mine in Issyk-Kul province, but has warned that these measures “do not cancel the obligations of the Kumtor Gold Company on environmental compliance.”
