SADC Seeks Funding for Water, Agriculture, Energy Projects

Southern African Development Community (SADC) countries will pool their own financial resources and seek funding from development partners such as the World Bank, the Kuwait Fund for Aab Economic Development (KFAED) and the China Exim Bank to implement infrastructure development projects in the water, agriculture and energy sectors, the SADC Secretariat told OOSKAnews.In a statement released June 30th, the Botswana-based secretariat said billions of dollars would be needed to fund its Regional Infrastructure Development Master Plan (RIDMP), which calls for rehabilitating or constructing water and energy infrastructure to support agriculture by 2027...
