Namibia Desal Project: Appeal Succeeds

WINDHOEK, Namibia

Namibia’s leading mining company, Rössing Uranium, a subsidiary of British-Australian Rio Tinto Group has won an appeal to build a coastal water desalination plant. The company this week received the green light from the environment ministry, but still requires another clearance from the agriculture ministry, which previously blocked the project.
