UNICEF Calls for Immediate Access to Deliver Supplies to Aleppo in Wake of New Attacks

The United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) is calling for immediate access to deliver urgently needed nutritional supplements, clean water, medicines, and health supplies to thousands of people forced to flee the Syrian city of Aleppo in the wake of a new wave of attacks.During the latest attacks, an electricity transmission station was damaged, cutting water pumping to the city. Ongoing fighting is preventing repairs to the facility, forcing residents to rely on alternative systems built by UNICEF and its partners, including 70 wells and 100 recently cleaned and disinfected water storage tanks...
