TOKYO, Japan

The Tokyo Electric Power Company (TEPCO) is checking for radiation contamination in seawater after heavy rains brought by Typhoon Malakas this week caused tainted groundwater to rise to the surface around the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant.
