“Making Every Drop Count: An Agenda for Water Action”, released March 14 as the “outcome report” of a High Level Panel on Water of 11 Heads of State and a Special Advisor, calls for a fundamental shift in the way the world manages water so that the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly Goal 6 on ensuring availability and sustainable management of water and sanitation for all, can be achieved.
New Agenda For Water Action
An open letter from the Panel proposes “a new Agenda for Water Action, transforming our water challenge into an opportunity. We need to make every drop count. “We urge a new approach: rethinking how we understand, value and manage water as a precious resource, catalyzing change and building partnerships to achieve the water-related goals of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development”.
