World Bank Water Project Benefits 50,000 Haitian Families

PORT AU PRINCE

Five communes in the southern department will benefit from rehabilitation works and extension of potable water infrastructure, which aim to increase access to vital liquid and improve sanitation. Promoted by the National Directorate of Drinking Water and Sanitation (DINEPA) with the financing of USD 10 million from the World Bank, the project will reach the communities of Port a Piment, Roche to Bateau, Port Salut, Les Anglais and Tiburón, improving quality of life to some 50 thousand families.
