Murray-Darling Basin: No New NSW Dams Projected


Water NSW says new dams are not part of its 20 year plan, released this week, which instead looks at other ways of saving water such as piping, channels and mid-river storage points. The NSW Government has looked into the crystal ball to think about what water resources and infrastructure its population will need in rural valleys in the next 20 to 30 years. It found building dams was out of the question with the astronomical costs involved.
