Thames Water Ordered To Pay Back $160 Million USD Over Leak Maintenance Failures

Thames Water was ordered on Thursday to pay £120 million back to customers after being found to have breached its licence conditions by failing to properly tackle leaks. It was hit with £55 million in automatic penalties for allowing millions of litres of water to spew out of pipes. It is paying out a further £65 million after an inquiry by watchdog Ofwat.
