Manganese Contamination Of Tap Water Blamed For Hospitalization Of More Than 100 In Eastern Ukraine City

Over 115 peoplle have been hospitalized in the city of Makiivka in Ukraine's eastern Donetsk region showing symptoms of drinking tap water contaminated with Manganese.On September 29, Pavlo Lysyanskyi, a representative of Ukraine’s ombudsman in Donetsk and Lugansk regions, told MENAFN that over 115 people in the "non-government-controlled city of Makiivka had recently been admitted to hospitals. They all shared similar sever, if not critical, symptoms of chills and fever and gastrointestinal discomfort consistent with manganese poisoning.Separately, The KOZ Times claimed tainted chlorine supplied by the Russian Federation and used at the filtration plant was being blamed for the illnesses...
