China Reports Vast Improvements In Environmental Protection Of Water Bodies

China's Environment Minister has claimed that 99.9 Percent of environment violations effecting key cities have been rectified.Li Ganjie, Minister of Ecology and Environment, also said January 19 that 95 Percent of 1,009 discolored and foul-smelling water bodies in 36 cities have been cleaned, according to state media.In emphasizing the importance of pollution management, Li said "defending clean waters" is a primary task for 2019.Despite the favorable development, additional protection and remediation for the Yangtze River and the Bohai Sea, in particular are necessary to protect against agricultural water pollution...
