BRUSSELS, Belgium

The Environment Committee of the European Parliament has backed plans to increase the use of treated wastewater for agricultural irrigation in the EU. New legislation sets minimum quality standards and sets out obligation for production, distribution, and storage operators and defines risk management measures.
