The future of the disrupted Melamchi Water Supply Project, a tunnel that diverts water to Sundarijal in Kathmandu from the Melamchi River in Sindhupalchok will be discussed in talks between the Nepal government and Italian contractors CMC, which was accused of “abandoning” the project in mid-December. CMC has cited problems with payments from Nepal authorities.
