Residents of Toledo, Ohio in the United Statex have voted in a special referendum to approve the "Lake Erie Bill of Rights" (LEBOR). The ballot measure, passed February 26 by a 61-39 margin, calls for an amendment to the city’s charter that declares that Lake Erie itself has a right to carry a smaller environmental burden.
