New Delhi, India

An Indian government Minister said this week that the country had stopped more than a half-a-million acre-feet of water of three eastern rivers, the Ravi, Beas and Sutlej, from flowing into Pakistan. India's move is not in breach of the 1960 Indus Water which allocates these rivers for India's own use.
