LAHORE, Pakistan

A Chinese-Pakistani consortium has signed an agreement with Pakistan authorities to construct a dam and 800 MW hydropower project on the Swat River in northwest Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The project is valued at $1.9 Billion USD and is expected to be completed in approximately 6 years.
