Environmental, Social, Governance-Based Investing Will Accelerate

NEW YORK NY

The rise of environmental, social, and governance (ESG)-based investing will likely accelerate as a younger, more values-oriented crop of investors enter the global markets, company executives and asset managers told attendees at S&P Global Ratings' ESG Evaluation launch ceremony in New York. "All of the factors that go into E, S, and G are of growing interest for issuers and investors," S&P Global President and CEO Doug Peterson told attendees at the launch ceremony. "Now more than ever, companies understand and have a much better appreciation of their responsibilities as corporate citizens. We see ESG matters as an essential component of sustainable company performance."
