The Green Climate Fund (GCF) has committed $45.6 Million USD to its first single-country investment in the Caribbean to support the Water Sector Resilience Nexus for Sustainability in Barbados (WSRN S-Barbados) project. GCF is a fund established within the framework of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) to assist developing countries in adaptation and mitigation practices to counter climate change.WSRN S-Barbados is designed to improve access to potable water and the water sector’s resilience to extreme climate events, and will use “green solutions” as much as possible...
