Deadly Monsoon Downpours Cause Mass Displacement In Nepal, India, Pakistan Bangladesh, Myanmar

Monsoon rainfall has caused and mudslides across parts of Nepal, northern India, Bangladesh, Pakistan and Myanmar in recent days causing more than 100 deaths, and mass evacuations. UN chief Antonio Guterres has expressed sadness at the loss of life, displacement of people and destruction of property due to the heavy monsoon rains and said the world body stands by to provide support if required. At least 67 people are reported to have died with more than 30 others missing in Nepal since July 12. Officials said the monsoon has impacted around a third of all districts, has so far displaced at least 10,000 people in the country...
