More than 25 million people in South Asia have been affectedby recent torrrential monsoon rains, with at least 500,000 displaced and at least 600 reported dead in monsoon-related incidents across Bangladesh, India, Nepal and Myanmar.The UN is assessing the needs throughout the region but currently it is supporting the government of Bangladesh to address the needs of more than 4 million people who have been affected.
