Singapore is a global hydro-hub, home to more than 200 water companies and about 25 research centres. And national water agency PUB has gone to great lengths to monitor, treat and improve its drinking water supply. So Singaporeans are aware that tap water is “clean and safe to drink”, said Erny Kartolo, one of the founders of the Drink Wise, Drink Tap campaign. “But the surroundings of the tap … affect their perception of the tap water”.
