Local Netherlands Authorities Will Benefit From New Funding For Flood Protection, Water Management Projects

LUXEMBOURG, Luxembourg

A new partnership will release as much as $220 Million USD in financing to be directed mostly to flood protection and water resources management projects in the Netherlands. Local Dutch authorities engaged in climate-relevant investments will now be able to benefit from the availability of new financing through a collaboration of the European Investment Bank (EIB) and Nederlandse Waterschapsbank N.V. (NWB Bank).The EIB will lend NWB Bank $110 Million USD for 25 years under its most advantageous conditions, with NWB Bank providing the rest, and passing along the benefits for local investment projects...
