Egypt Invests $55 Million USD In Water Conservation Plan

CAIRO

The Egyptian government has started implementing a plan for water conservation at a value of EGP 900 million, according to  the country’s prime minister Mostafa Madbouly. The plan includes shifting to modern irrigation systems, treating wastewater, and expanding in setting up water desalination plants, Madbouly added in his speech to the parliament on Wednesday. In less than three years, the government has implemented projects worth EGP 110 billion, he noted.
