A US Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) order to drain the Anderson Reservoir, which supplies Silicon Valley in California with drinking water, has met negative reaction with multiple agencies laying blame for delays, and local concern about water supplies, particularly in this year's summer months. The Anderson Dam is considered vulnerable to seismic activity.
