The Government of Australia has spent $4.9 Billion USD recovering water and increasing river flows in an attempt to improve the health of the Murray Darling Basin’s ecosystems as part of the Murray Darling Basin Plan, which aims to bring the basin back to a healthier and sustainable level, while continuing to support farming and other industries for the benefit of the Australian community.
