India: New Model For Detecting Arsenic In Well Waters

A team of researchers based in the UK, India and Switzerland have created a country-specific, country-wide model for finding arsenic in well waters in India, highlighting areas in the country that pose a risk to drinking water. Arsenic in drinking water obtained from wells causes massive adverse health outcomes, including premature deaths from cancers and cardiovascular disease, in many parts of the world and particularly in the Indian subcontinent.
