A call for abstracts has been issued for a planned multi-volume book series that will focus on key themes in transboundary freshwater management.
Publisher "World Scientific" is seeking original works to be included in edited volumes that explore international law for shared freshwater resources - both surface and subsurface waters - from a multidisciplinary perspective.
The World Scientific Handbook of Transboundary Water Management initiative seeks to collate original scholarship on four interrelated aspects of water policy and diplomacy:
- Institutions and governance (both formal and informal)
- International water law
- The role of technology in transboundary management
- The nexus of domestic and inter-state affairs.
The set of four volumes seeks to become a guide for both academics and practitioners hoping to better understand the joint management of water from socio-political, legal, economic, and technological perspectives. The completed set will be published by July 2023.
The deadline for submission of abstracts is 1 January 2021.
Details for submission can be found here.
