Another Pollution Incident Shuts Down Malaysian Water Treatment Plants

KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia

More than a million households were impacted when four water treatment plants in Malaysia after another pollution incident. Sungai Selangor Phase 1,2, 3 and Rantau Panjang – had to stop operations this month because of pollution, but have since resumed operations.

The disruption affected areas in Kuala Lumpur, Petaling, Klang, Shah Alam, Kuala Selangor, Hulu Selangor, Gombak and Kuala Langat.
